William ‘Bill’ Walker III
William “Bill” J. Walker, III is the Owner of Walker Commercial Services, Inc. Bill is a graduate of Radford University, where he earned his bachelor of science. He also graduated from the Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAI) and Mendenhall School of Auctioneering. He is a licensed Real Estate Broker and Auctioneer in Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee and North Carolina.
With over 30 years of operational experience in Sales and Marketing, Bill currently oversees the selling, listing, leasing and managing of the real estate that comes through the office. Bill works directly with bankers, corporate clients and attorneys with distressed, foreclosure and REO properties. Bill travels throughout the Mid-Atlantic inspecting, evaluating and reporting about the collateral for sales or auctions.
He was originally licensed as a real estate agent and an auctioneer in 1989, placing his license with Hall Associates, Inc. For nine years Bill designed and developed the Auction Division at Hall Associates, Inc. After obtaining his Broker License, he left Hall Associates, Inc. and started Walker Commercial Services, Inc. in January 2000.
Walker Commercial specializes in representing corporate clients, financial institutions, attorneys, estates and the bankruptcy court in the Western District of Virginia. Walker has sold and/or evaluated property and equipment in every county in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Walker has sold over $20 million in commercial, industrial real estate and rolling stock each year for the past three years.
Walker Commercial Services, Inc. has three divisions within the company; real estate sales, real estate management and leasing division, and the equipment and rolling stock sales and auction division.
During economic downturns, the need for liquidation auctions increases. In order to meet the corporate clients, financial institutions, attorneys, estates and bankruptcy court’s needs. Over the past eleven years, Walker Commercial Services has conducted an average of four to five large equipment auctions each year.
As the increasing need for a secure facility to maintain and store rolling stock and equipment became essential, Walker purchased a 10,000 sf centrally located auction facility in Roanoke, VA.
The auction facility is situated on a 5.5 acre tract of land that is fenced with security cameras that scan and record the perimeter of the property. The security surveillance is automatically transferred to the internet. The building is also equipped with roll up doors, drive-through doors, restroom, cashier and clerking stations and wireless connection for our auction clerking software.
In addition to the equipment auctions, Walker Commercial Services, Inc. sells real estate, including commercial buildings, warehouses, large tracts of land, retail stores, medical facilities, spec homes, etc. throughout Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina and Tennessee.
Asher William Walker
Asher has leveraged his familiarity with world class stages and global networks of contacts to quickly establish himself as a top producer in the Roanoke commercial real estate market. Charisma, creativity, and work ethic acquired in Los Angeles over a very successful entertainment career has allowed him to quickly exceed expectations. Asher has found the most success in the commercial real estate industry establishing relationships working very closely with financial institutions, and private sellers alike, to facilitate both accelerated transactions, auctions, and traditional brokered sales as well.
Bringing a tech and data driven approach to the firm, Asher continues to add the most value by constantly refining internal systems, while always utilizing technology to engage new audiences.
Commercial/Industrial (with a particular love for warehouses) sales, income producing portfolio valuations, and commercial land acquisition and development are what Asher shows most promise in.
With an impressive number of transactions to date, Asher currently holds a Virginia Real Estate Brokers License, as well as an Auctioneer License in Virginia and West Virginia.
Dominic has been involved in real estate as an investor for over 10 years-- buying, selling, renovating, and renting residential properties within the Roanoke market. He recently joined Walker Commercial Services, making real estate a full-time endeavor.
Before getting involved in real estate, Dominic worked for 20 years in domestic and international corporate finance. Leaning on his background in accounting, operations and financial analysis, he has helped streamline key components of Walker Commercial’s marketing and operations in order to generate new leads and strengthen existing partnerships. Dominic's analytics and growth mindset has only strengthened Walker Commercial Services’ already robust team of agents and business leaders.
Dominic is a Villanova University graduate (GO CATS!) and when he’s not thinking all things real estate, you can find him outside, hiking, biking, playing soccer, or gardening with his wife and two busy boys.
Heather Fidler is our office manager and newest team member at Walker Commercial Services. In 2010 she graduated with a Degree in Accounting from Emory and Henry College. Heather brings over 10 years of administrative experience in Office Management and Client Services. Previously she has worked in financial services where she learned the value of client relationships. In our office, Heather assists with the implementation of firm policies and procedures, manages leasing and tenant relations, in addition to maintaining the bookkeeping.
In her free time Heather enjoys spending time taking pictures, watching documentaries, and learning about genealogy. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Brian, and they have two sons, Corbin and Kai.
Since joining the Walker Commercial Services team in March of 2021 Jenna has worked to maximize our digital presence over social media platforms. Jenna found her passion for people and networking early in life through her participation in pageantry. When it was time for her to choose a career, she knew she wanted to utilize her skills and realized marketing was the creative path to take. She was born and raised in the Roanoke Valley but ventured out to Florida where she lived for 5 years while in school. In her free time, Jenna enjoys baking, spending time with her friends and family, and most importantly spreading positivity!
Neal Brenner is a Virginia Licensed Real Estate Salesperson with Walker. He is a native of Roanoke, Virginia. He spent 25 years working for his family business Cycle Systems, Inc. in multiple positions. Prior to the sale of the business, he was the President of the corporation. During his tenure, he was responsible for business and real estate transactions. These responsibilities have given him a great understanding of what a business owner, banks, and investors would require in either selling or purchasing properties.
Neal understands local and regional Markets, as well as trends in the area. He has involved himself in many different positions for non-profits throughout and corporations throughout the region and is well known throughout the community.
Neal prides himself on selling commercial warehouses and industrial buildings.
Ty Walker is a graduate of James Madison University and specializes in property management, long term, and short term rentals. Ty also helps buyers and sellers in representing their properties. Ty is married and has two small children and lives in New Castle VA. He grows beef, pork, and chicken on family land in Glade Hill.
